P-Tron

Pauper TronI had some extra MTG funds to roll into a new deck and since I have tron already built in Modern, I wanted to try my hand at some combo tron in pauper. This deck is designed to loop Myr Retriever together with Ashnod's Alter to either get infinite life or infinite golems. SB is a combo hate post game 1 to mill the opponent with Frantic Salvage and Jace's Erasure.

1-3 Interaction kills this deck. I needed 4x Reckoner's Bargain for the early life gain so I can remove Ancient Stirrings. Assembling tron is not as important in this deck, but is more of a win more condition. However, being able to tempo some of the outlets early and not rely on the Fangren Marauder to keep me alive is key.

Round 1 vs Initiative (1-2) Game 1 got the combo off. Game 2 they sided in land destruction which kept me at 2-3 mana and not being able to combo off since I need 3 open mana to do so.

Round 2 vs Angler/Terror (1-2) They got me Game 1 by keeping up counter spells. Game 2 I shifted to less life gain and more draw power and went infinite, Game 3 they saw the combo and countered that.

Round 3 vs U-Tempo (0-2) Mono-blue, a lot of Vapor Snags and Counterspells to keep me off my combo.

Round 4 vs Boggles (2-0) A Match with 0 interaction if exactly what this deck wants. Both players gained somewhere upwards to 200+ life and I went infinite both games.
